Love a good fashion movie? Well, brace yourself, because this October, Lifetime will be airing two films—one documentary and one scripted movie—about Donatella Versace and her family’s legendary fashion house.
First up on October 5th will be the fictionalized biopic House of Versace, based on Deborah Ball’s 2010 book House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival, which chronicles the continuation of the house of Versace following the tragic murder of Gianni Versace outside his home in Miami in 1997.
THR reports that Gina Gershon will star as Donatella Versace, Enrico Colantoni will portray Gianni Versace, Colm Feore will play Santo Versace, and the inimitable Raquel Welch will play the Versace’s Aunt Lucia.
Later that night, Lifetime will air a new, hour-long documentary Versace: Beyond the Headlines, which follows Gianni Versace’s start and rise in the fashion business.
