Rbel: the new collection

Amsterdam Fashion TV attended the presentation of the first collection by new Dutch label Rbel.

The label’s designers, Iris Leersum and Patty de Vries, described it as “A trend that is not a trend, and therefore a bit rebellious. A friendly but cheeky resistance in the form of a fashionable middle finger”. And the middle finger was meant in the litteral sense: the men and womenswear models, in tough and daring black and white garments, strolled up and down the runway with plenty of attitude, each with their own “so what?” statement pose at the end of the runway.

The collection is wearable and allows for a number of combinations and layering. A strong cartoon feel is conveyed by the prints; sketches of Batman in front of New York’s Empire State Building, and by the styling with black leather masks or catwoman inspired “eyewear”. The collection is tough yet sexy, ideal to set free the super hero inside you!
