Happy Birthday – Ozzy Osbourne

He gained fame as the lead singer of Black Sabbath, and became known as the Prince of Darkness and the Godfather of Heavy Metal.

He was abused by teachers while growing up for having dyslexia and other learning disabilities, and worked as a plumber and a slaughterhouse employee while listening to The Beatles.

Black Sabbath’s 1970 album, Paranoid, included the iconic metal songs, “Iron Man,” “War Pigs,” and “Paranoid,” which was written in 25 minutes and hit #4 on the U.K. Billboard.

He got married to Thelma Mayfair in 1971, and after their divorce in June 1982, married Sharon Osbourne on July 4, 1982.

He sang the number-one hit single, “Changes” with his daughter, the pop singer Kelly Osbourne.
