George Clooney covers W Magazine’s annual Art Issue covered in Yayoi Kusama designed dots. In the editorial shot by Emma Summerton, Clooney is dressed in an Armani suit customized by Yayoi Kusama, the Japanese artist and writer who is known for her affinity of all polka dot scenes. The Clooney cover is monochromatically reminiscent of the Louis Vuitton advertisements Yayoi released when she teamed up with the luxury brand back in 2012.
The result is an art-dedicated issue of the fashion mag with none other than George Clooney gracing the cover ahead of the release his upcoming film The Monuments Men. Clooney playing “the leader of a special platoon of museum directors, curators, and art historians who join forces to rescue the art that Adolf Hitler stole during World War II.” Based on actual events, the story is based on Robert M. Edsel’s 2009 book of the same name.
Shot by Emma Summerton, George wears Giorgio Armani suit, shirt, and shoes, customized by Yayoi Kusama.
