Freeze 2013 by Hsi-An Chu

Freeze is a situation of various characteristics, such as ice, melting water, and can be a situation between ice and water. Entitled ‘Freeze’, the Hsi-An Chu 2013 collection boasts sculptural silhouettes and architectural design elements. “One of my concepts is to do experiments of silicone as replacement of water. Simulate the process of water frozen as well as the results” the designer said.

“To transfer frozen situation, I want to utilise silicone to represent and simulate natural phenomenon into my concept, also light is a vital element to illuminate products to support transparent freezing effects.
I am focusing on technology application in fashion production, which are garment or fashion products and it will be recorded in documentary to present the concept of Freeze.” .
