LA PETITE ROBE di Chiara Boni
will be the Pitti Special Event at the next edition of Pitti Uomo / Pitti W
La Petite Robe di Chiara Boni, the prêt-à-porter line by one of the iconic names in Made in Italy will be the Special Event at the forthcoming edition of Pitti Uomo / Pitti W (7-10 January 2014). The Florentine designer will present her new women’s collection at a fashion show-event on the evening of Wednesday, 8 January, at the Dogana on Via Valfonda, right next to the Fortezza da Basso.
“We are honored that Chiara Boni has chosen her city and Pitti Uomo for the presentation of the new La Petite Robe collection”, says Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine. “Chiara is one of the undisputed leaders in Italian fashions, her name is a guarantee of creativity and innovation in the female shape – attributes that have always characterized her style and allowed her to launch styles that always present a new form of elegance, reinventing herself with each season. She always has a finger on the market’s pulse and is always sensitive to her loyal clients’ needs of comfort and practicality – the same clients who have been bringing her a new wave of success overseas over the past few seasons”.
“I would never have become Chiara Boni had if I would not been born in Florence,” she says. “Now, years later I am back in the city that left the artistic imprint of beauty on me, and gave meaning to my inspirations. Pitti is an outstanding event, it is a concentration of trend energy and hosts the entire fashion industry. To be able to show my creations on a runway that for me is filled with fond memories is truly a unique opportunity. The 2014-2015 Fall/Winter collection coming down the catwalk is inspired by the ’Fifties, with retro details enhancing the contemporary fit of my travel clothes. And, in line with the dictates of 1950s styles, there will be “matching” shoes. The shoes, under licence, are foldable smart ballerinas, pumps, boots and wedges all made of the same practical fabric as La Petite Robe that refreshes itself through unusual experiments”.
