Amazing Blushers of 2013 Chanel and Tom Ford Beauty

Around here we adore blushers and it’s one of those items that we keep getting and getting because having just one is not enough.

BLUSH012013

Last year we tried the new cream blushers by Chanel and they’re so amazing that at a glance we have already three and are jumping up and down and the upcoming new shades for the 2014 Spring Collection. What we like about this blusher is the wearability, blended be it with fingers, duo-fibers or classic blushes we can intensify to our hearts’ content, it doesn’t stain or migrate and the oil-free formula makes it suitable to all skin types with a stellar colour collection in a small compact that comes brush free which makes it smaller to carry around but big enough to make its accompanying mirror quite handy for touch-ups or transitioning that day to night look. We tested it in three completely different shades, Prèsage which a warm colour that gives you a pop of colour and is suited for fair, medium and deep skin tones. Destiny is a neutral medium beige shade that can serve as bronzer or contour colour and can be worn with all the other blush colours for a more sculpted look and finally Affinitè a medium warm pink that suits any skin tone except the deeper shades and is wearable in any season giving you a just flushed look that can be amped up or muted depending on your mood. All of the cream blushers by Chanel are shimmer or glitter free and give your a satin finish.

BLUSH042013We also got our hands on Tom Ford’s blusher and it made us gasp, this powder with a creamy feel and one of the most easy to blend powder blushers we’ve yet to got our brushes on is luxe personified, from the elegant dark brown and gold packaging with a magnetic seal and the small suede pouch make this compact something we want to just take out of our bag and touch up to show it off. Our favourite shade so far is Love Lust which is similar to NARS’s Deep Throat slightly more warm and definitely more pigmented. The shade has a slight shimmer finish but oily skins do not need to be afraid because it only reflects the light without bringing unnecessary shine to your face, we love to pair it with the Shade and Illuminate shimmer for that extra oomph. However all roses have its thorns and Tom Ford’s products come with an incredible hefty price tag, so if you’re wondering whether you could purchase an amazing blush for less? Our answer is yes, you could but it wouldn’t be Tom Ford.

For the time being these are the blushers we seem to be picking up more and more in the last couple of months with plans of acquiring the remaining shades in the upcoming weeks, but you know that our slight futility will make us keep testing because we are rather curious about the Dior cream blushes as well.
