Dutch Touch promotes Nederland’s fresh Fashion Talent at Pitti Immagine 2014.
The Dutch Touch connects with the Dutch Fashion Foundation, as the representatives sailed to Florence for this seasons Pitti Immagine 2014 on January 7th-9th . This connection creates a platform to promote this seasons underground and/or upcoming “Hot in Holland” fashion designers.
The partnership between the Dutch Touch and the Dutch Fashion Foundation was born out of the idea of providing a networking platform for Dutch fashion designers to come together in collaboration. From 2001 the Dutch Touch campaign has been lending a helping hand to some of the top fashion capitals of the world such as Paris, New York, Florence, Rome and Milan. The Dutch Touch representatives have been sewing links together as they help put Amsterdam on that fashion list as well, and give the Dutch a fair turn in showing what they’ve got.
Mattijs van Bergen who was the winner of the Mercedes Benz Dutch Fashion Award in 2012 and International Fashion Incubator Award in 2012, along with the twin designer duo, “Spijkers en Spijkers” who received the Prins Bernhard Culture Fund fashion Stipendium in 2013, were there along with the 12 new designers promoted by these two communities. Through the PR and promotion of Dutch Touch, Dutch Fashion Foundation and Pitti Immagine 2014 we will for sure see more of these upcoming and underground names in the future.
