Day 10 of Amsterdam Fashion week connects sustainable minds at “Keys to Success” networking event. 

 

Monday the 27th of January, the 4th edition of the networking event “Keys to Success” took place as part of Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam.  This marked day 10 of Amsterdam Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Nederland, and also coined the term: “Business Monday” at Westergasfabriek.  Here the topics, brainstorming and knowledge production of the day consisted of: establishing and developing a successful sustainable fashion company.

Holly Syrett, Manager Marketing Partnerships & Concept Development for Fashion Week Nederland, welcomed all attendees, as Natasja van den Berg introduced the speakers.  Later in the event, Sofie Schop, (Senior Consultant CSR Schuttelaar & Partners) presented a “step by step approach on how to make a business sustainable, from beginning to the end of the supply chain”.

The fashion designers and businesses involved in this event, varied on many levels.  Intriguing Dutch fashion names such as Spijkers Spijkers, Edwin Oudshoorn Salon, Winde Rienstra, Vodaphone, ABN AMRO and VICE were just a few, and many more names and companies took part.

Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week Nederland also  cooperated with the a cultural institution in the heart of Amsterdam’s museum district, and gave the new coming sustainable fashion designer Winde Rienstra a very important platform to exhibit her talent, with help in organization by Victoria Koblenko. This exhibition was open to the public, to see, observe and enjoy this new face, and interesting Dutch designer.

Mercedes -Benz Fashion week Amsterdam offered many new-coming brands, companies, and designers the opportunity to grow, while offering them international exposure and networking, creating a new value system rather than money, and a priceless amount of experience.
