Menswear Inspired Shoes Will Make Spring

loafer-1

Here at Glamour HQ, we’ve been talking a lot about how many of the coolest girls we know have traded in their sky-high stilettos for more practical options. Between all the old-school trainers, throw-back Birkenstocks, and slip-on surfer sneaks it’s pretty safe to say that comfy flats have become the shoe de rigueur this spring.

But what if you want to jump on the normcore bandwagon and still look polished enough to for the office? In that case, you’ve got plenty of options. One great one: the spritely, menswear-style loafers that were all over the spring 2014 runways and on the feet of front-rowers at the recent fall 2014 shows. (Including, shocker of all shocks, high-heel fanatic Victoria Beckham. Yup, I know.)

Some of the best loafers come adorned with tassles and drenched in unexpected pops of color, but the styles that play it safer with neutral hues are equally chic—and more likely to go with everything you already own.

Whichever you choose, you’ll be feeling jaunty and looking very, very cool.

Are you trading in your heels for flats? What shoes are you loving this season?
