There are trends seen on the runway that make for some very entertaining fashion shows. But what makes a “trend” truly a trend is when real people, off the runway, wear it. With that thought in mind, I decided to start this weekly segment to my blog on my favorite, most wearable trends for Spring 2014.
I want to keep it simple and personal by sharing pics of myself in items from my closet, that demonstrate these trends in an approachable, yet fierce way.
One of my favorite Spring 2014 Trends is Wide Leg Pants. They were seen all over the runway and will be hitting department stores at a growing pace this season. They’re easy to wear, and versatile. You can wear them in a classic way, or mix it up with an unexpected top and accessories to switch up the look. To make this the perfect day to evening look, layer your tops in a way you can simply de-layer, and hit the town for dinner after a day at work.
FIT TIP: Length is everything with wide leg pants. They should fall to the ground. Not sweeping the ground as you walk, but long enough to cover almost your entire show. This style pant is not a good one to have fit too short. You are getting too close to gaucho territory if they do.
