After six freezing months of winter, Memorial Day is finally upon us. Which means it’s time to pull out the sandals and sundresses that have been sadly relegated to the back of our closets for the past six months and start amping up our wardrobes. ‘Tis the season for beach vacations, rooftop bars, and, best of all, wearing white. Though white can be chic all year round nothing says summer like a fresh all-white look. Here are three ways to rock head-to-toe white all season long.
Pair wide-leg pants with a basic T-shirt, and top it off with a breezy white blazer. White accessories, like model and photographer Candice Lake’s open-toe sandals, keep the look chic and monochromatic. The silhouette of the pants will keep you cool during the sweltering post-work commute, and you can ditch the jacket for an easy day-to-night transition.
On the Weekend:
An easy white shift dress, like this Topshop one, is perfect for a hot summer Saturday full of brunching, touring, or lounging in the park. Keep it casual and comfortable with a pair of white sneakers, like these awesome Adidas, and pop on a pair of colorful sunglasses to complete the look.
On a Date:
Ever wonder how to wear your summery whites on a chilly night out? Poppy Delevigne has it all figured out. She shows just the right amount of skin to look sexy but is still refined. If you’re uncomfortable going all-in with the white, small pops of color like the blue on Poppy’s shoes pare down the intensity of the look while still keeping it fun (and less bridal!). Throw a camel or cream trench over your shoulders to neutralize the look and to stay warm for all that outdoor seating!
