Have you heard the urban legends about impossibly chic women wearing designer dresses and heels onto a transatlantic flight only to change into comfy jammies once the boarding door has been closed? I’ve never personally observed the trick, but with news that Virgin Atlantic is experimenting with giving first-class passengers onesies for overnight flights, it certainly seems viable (and easy!).
It’s designed by Norwegian company OnePiece (the original adult onesie designers, per its website) and modeled by Amber Le Bon. The piece, with “sleepy head” written cheekily on the back, will be available on certain overnight flights starting in the middle of the month.
Worried if you had the opportunity to snooze in one you’d never be OK without it? Fear not: Once it’s yours, it’s yours, so you can lounge around in the comforts of home too.
