After passing for Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia, will stay until July 27 in São Paulo (Brazil), the exhibition “Infinite Obsession” by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
At 84 years old, the artist who is obsessed with polka dots, lives voluntarily in a psychiatric clinic in Tokyo since 1977, where she gets inspiration for her works.
When she was 10 years old, diagnosed with a sickness, Kusama began her obsession that earned several exhibitions, collaborations and international awards.
Yayoi Kusama also had her collaboration with the fashion world. In 2012 the artist has teamed up with Louis Vuitton, developing a collection titled “Infinitely Kusama”, it has included clothes, bags, shoes and accessories, all with the iconic polka dot pattern, a strong feature of the Japanese artist.
Between madness and sanity what really remains is this unique work done with so much talent and dedication.
