Dior mascara Banned

A Christian Dior mascara advert featuring Natalie Portman has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

As the Telegraph reports, a single complaint was filed with the ASA accusing Dior of airbrushing the ad, exaggerating the advertised effects of the “multi-dimensional volume and treatment mascara.” This is not the first time the ASA has given a makeup ad the axe for misleading consumers. Dior claims that the image in question was originally intended for a lipstick ad, and that Portman is not wearing false eyelashes, per Vogue UK.
