If I could, I’d wear my black leather moto jacket all.the.time. But sometimes occasions call for a more formal and, shall we say, restrained layering piece—kind of like a straitlaced blazer. You know, for meetings with the boss, brunch with the significant other’s family, afternoon tea, and the like. Oh, hello there, Jamie Chung has a fabulous compromise.
At the Rebecca Minkoff show at New York Fashion Week, Jamie yet again nailed her signature casual-chic aesthetic with a bubble-gum-pink moto jacket matched with a kaleidoscopic printed mididress. By going with a lighter feminine hue on the usually rebellious silhouette and coordinating with an elegantly pleated (and modestly midi-hemmed) frock, Jamie made her tough-girl jacket positively refined and, might I say, in-law-approved. (I’m pretty sure, anyway, but maybe we should check with Bryan Greenberg’s mom and dad.)
