I don’t know about you, but Amal Alamuddin definitely had a more glamorous weekend than me—she married George Clooney in Venice! Kim did a pretty impressive job time-lining the entire event (celebrity guests and gondola arrivals included), and while we’re still waiting for pics of Amal’s actual wedding dress, we do have shots of the stunner she picked to appear to the world in for the first time as George’s wife.
It’s Giambattista Valli couture from the fall 2014 collection and, oh my, it’s gorgeous. It’s a base of white lace with hand-done coral and purple flowers all over. The hemline is a gradual high-low style, with a shorter length in the front that shows off Amal’s gorgeous stems. I also adore how she got the same leg-lengthening finish as a nude pair of pumps but was funkier in peach iridescent instead.
I spent the end of last week compiling a retrospect of Amal’s best looks to date, and I most definitely would include this one in the future. As a newly minted expert on her style, I’ll confirm that this totally fits the bill. It’s unique, like the vast majority of her picks, plus playful and feminine.
