6 Pajama Styles to Get You Through the Cold Winter Nights

As Thanksgiving and the holiday season approach, it’s time to focus on, quite possibly, the most important wardrobe piece of all: your pajamas. These are six styles we’re seriously into.

01-J-Crew-set

I don’t like to play favorites, but pajamas sets are definitely my top loves. Whether they’re flannel, cotton, or silk—they make you look relatively pulled together (yes, even while you sleep!); you could probably get away with wearing your button-down with a pair of jeans in a casual office environment.

Thermals are another classic to try when it’s cold out. They tend to remind me of après-ski evenings by the fire with hot chocolate and a good book.

Similar to thermal pants, jogging sweats are great for hanging around the house. These uber-soft and comfortable bottoms should ride low or slouchy, and cropped at the ankle or calf for optimal lounge-ability.

If pants are too restrictive (which I totally understand), go with a nightshirt. They can be tailored like your favorite pajama set or resemble a T-shirt dress; just find one that’s long enough to cover you up but short enough so that you don’t feel like you’re wearing your grandmother’s nightgown.

I love tap shorts. A lot. The girly style are the perfect upgrade to that pair of your boyfriend’s boxers you have been rocking lately. Team them with a matching camisole or a cotton tee for an effortless vibe.

Miss the feet pajamas of your easy childhood days? So do I. That’s why I’ve fallen in love with the adult version of my favorite loungewear: the romper. It’s slouchy but slightly tailored and extremely comfy. Try one even if you don’t think it’s your style—you will love it instantly.
