Blake Lively’s Latest? Two Outfit Ideas That Perfectly Mix Casual With Sexy

Nobody’s maternity style has been as impressive as Blake Lively’s—every time she steps out, it’s pretty much perfect. After a handful of formal red carpet engagements, she gave us two casual outfits that’d be beyond easy to pull off whether you’re expecting or not.

This season’s trendiest It piece, the poncho, turned a super-simple combo of skinnies and a black tee into something special. She’s worn a similar piece before, but this one is way more flattering. By leaving it open, rather than cinching it shut, she’s showing off her bump and keeping the overall look from just being, for lack of a better word, round.

Her other outfit of the day is another that totally works regardless of bump status. It looks like she’s wearing the same jeans and fringed ankle boots but switched out the black tee and poncho for a classic striped style and bright blue coat. It’s easy to get stuck in a goes-with-everything black topper, but a fun color choice is striking in the prettiest kind of way. (I found out her shirt is by eco-friendly brand Amour Vert and you can shop it on her website).

The Blake takeaway? For sexy-but-casual winter outfits, mix skinny jeans, stiletto ankle booties, and a formfitting top with a loose cover-up. It wouldn’t look out of place on a grocery store run or catching a movie with your significant other.

Need a quick catch-up on Blake’s best maternity looks? There was this steamy black backless dress from earlier in the week, the fresh white midi skirt she picked to hang with Martha Stewart, and the sultry Gucci gown that started my obsession.
