This Is How Princesses Dress for a Nobel Prize Ceremony

Sometimes princesses are very much like us (wearing blazers and jeans to run errands or a little day dress for a sporting event), and other times, you know, they’re not. The latter was most definitely the case when the Swedish royal family attended this week’s Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm, and complete princess finery was on full display.

Princess Madeleine wore a dusty rose gown with regal accessories, tiara included. From this shot it’s tricky to tell, but the print on her gown looks like it’s done with a sparkly finish and was likely stunning in the light.

Princess Victoria did bold red, and I prefer the solid if only because it creates a better backdrop for the sash and medallions (both of which are giving me major flashbacks from The Princess Diaries).

And while she’s not yet a princess, Sofia Hellqvist proved she’s got the wardrobe down pat (she’s engaged to Prince Carl Phillip).
