Womenswear retailer Jacques Vert has named Teresa Tideman as its new chief executive. Tideman, who is currently senior vice president and joint managing director of the Disney Stores Europe, will take up her role as CEO of the fashion retailer in March next year.
Prior to her role with Disney, Tideman worked at David Jones, Australia’s second largest department store as well as the Burton Retail Group, and brings with her experience in merchandising, sales and marketing.
Commenting on the appointment, Jacques Vert finance director Ian Johnson said: “We are delighted to welcome Teresa to Jacques Vert. She is joining the company at a very exciting time and with her impressive career in retail we look forward to her enthusiasm and expertise.”
Jacques Vert, which merged with Irisa earlier this year, has been searching for a new chief executive since CEO Paul Allen resigned in October.
