You know how you can prove you’re a superfan of your favorite TV show? Buying an outfit that was actually worn on an episode. That’s love. Two charity sales have just popped up that I have to share in case one of you guys is ready to prove your love.
Starting at noon, Gilt is celebrating this season’s runaway hit Empire with a curated sale inspired by the show’s mega style (I don’t watch, but I’m still in love with the fact that the costume designer was inspired by Mob Wives and Naomi Campbell’s been allowed to pick out her entire wardrobe). There will be Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Marni, and more, but the standout piece is this embellished white minidress Naomi’s character wore. It’s by Marc Bouwer Couture and retails for $12,000 (but 100 percent of the proceeds go to the supermodel’s Fashion for Relief fund, so you don’t have to feel too guilty if you’ve got that kind of change burning a hole in your pocket). Check it all out here
If the style on The Mindy Project is more your thing, you’re in luck. Two outfits, accessories included, from recent episodes are currently up for grabs on eBay (the auction is set to end Thursday), and another look from next week’s finale will go up after the episode. All proceeds from each sale will benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in memory of Mindy’s mother.
