Tribute to: Gosta Peterson Photography

After serving in the military during World War II, Swedish-born Gosta Peterson studied to become an illustrator. He had a change of heart though, and immigrated to the United States in 1948 where he began teaching himself the art of photography. While he is currently still alive and working, he’s photography from the sixties and seventies especially captivates us. Most of his work from that era was done for the New York Times and focused on the fashion of the time. While clearly dated, these images have a timeless style that would not be out of place in our current glossy fashion magazines.
