It was a big weekend for the Cambridges, with the annual Trooping of the Colour bringing the entire family out (Kate Middleton for the first time since welcoming Princess Charlotte!). Yesterday, the fun continued as Kate took Prince George to watch dad Prince William play polo at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire.
The little heir to the throne wore a blue cardigan, white collared shirt, and navy shorts, finishing his outfit off with…Crocs.
George’s style is called the Crocband and retails for $30. With Kate’s mom-approval, there’s seemingly been a run on the classic colorway, with only two sizes of the typical nine available. The brand confirmed that the little prince is indeed partly responsible.
“Since His Royal Highness was spotted in the shoes, they’ve become a best-seller, thanks in part to the ‘Prince George effect,'” Andrew Rees, Crocs, Inc. president, told Glamour. “Being a royal baby is a tough job, with a lot of pressure, and since Crocs is all about finding your fun, we’re thrilled to see Prince George finding his.”

For her part, Kate wore what’s basically amounted to be her polo uniform. For the same celebratory weekend last year, the Duchess picked a Breton striped top and her trusty Sebago Bala boat shoes, replicating both on Sunday.
For last year’s Trooping of the Colour ceremony, she picked icy blue Alexander McQueen (see the pic here). This weekend, she kept things in the same color family with a pale coat by Catherine Walker.
