Now Is Your Last Chance to Buy One of Louis Vuitton’s Most Popular Prints

The It Bag that defined the early 2000s is officially no longer. According to WWD, Louis Vuitton is discontinuing the Takashi Murakami-designed Multicolore monogram collection that made its debut in the brand’s spring 2003 fashion show.

An employee at Louis Vuitton’s Saks Fifth Avenue shop-in-shop in New York City told the trade that the collection is “leaving stores at the end of July, forever,” though representatives for Louis Vuitton declined to comment. While you can still shop a small collection at Saks, the “multicolore monogram designs are not on display at Louis Vuitton’s 57th Street flagship location in Manhattan, but salespeople will present merchandise to shoppers upon request,” advises WWD. That is, of course, until the collection is officially off shelves.

You may remember the bag from major pop culture moments including Paris Hilton’s spin on Saturday Night Live and the episode of MTV’s Newlyweds where Jessica Simpson brought the purse on a camping trip to Yosemite. Kanye West, Nicole Richie, and countless other A-listers are fans of this and other Louis Vuitton/Murakami collaborations.
