EXHIBITION CHINA “THROUGHT THE LOOKING GLASS” CELEBRATES 500 THOUSAND VISITORS IN THE COSTUME INSTITUTE

On the last day July 21 the Metropolitan Museum and the Costume Institute in New York, celebrated 500 000 visits to the exhibition China: Through the Looking Glass. The curator Andrew Bolton was at the museum to greet and gifting a lucky visitor, the Brazilian model Bianca Klamt who won a signed copy of the exhibition catalog which will be on view until September 7.

The art show brings clothes, paintings, porcelain and movies of the country or inspired by it.

Other exhibitions that took place in the museum also had a high number of visitors, such as Alice in Wonderland which had 350,000 visits, but no one has yet surpassed the exhibition of Alexander

McQueen: Savage Beauty in 2011, that took 650,000 visitors.
