Amy Schumer had us at hello. Or was it at twerking-with-Amber-Rose-in-yellow-latex?
Though the comedic force has been making waves with her status-quo-challenging work for years, she’s recently emerged as more than the sarcastic girl onstage telling crass jokes. With the success of Trainwreck, Schumer has solidified her place as a bonafide movie star and lately has even proved herself as one-to-watch on the red carpet. Over the years, her style has significantly evolved—trading in patterned minidresses for minimalist body-skimming silhouettes.
Who is behind Schumer’s best looks of late? It’s a team effort from her stylist Tara Swennen, Trainwreck costume designer Leesa Evans, and designer Narciso Rodriguez. Rodriguez has been dressing the actress for a few press tour appearances, and they seem to have hit a groove. “My mission is just to create a frame for her personality,” Rodriguez told Style.com. “She really liked a stretch-leather dress that I made her…so I guess [my favorite] would have to be that because she really appreciated it and she felt great in it.”
