Attending a concert in a museum and being inspired by the museum showpieces at the same time? It can be done on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April. Then the National Museum Week presents The Golden Hour: a musical tour through two museums: Museum TwentseWelle in Enschede (on Saturday evening) and Het Scheepvaart museum in Amsterdam (on Sunday evening). Rapper Sven Alias is the leading man of these special performances in these museums in the final weekend of the Museum Week, he also curates a number of highlights from the collection. Admission to The Golden Hour is free (from age 18, identification is required). Registration is necessary and can be done via Nationalemuseumweek.nl/goldenhour.

Scoop: Sevn Alias gives an exclusive performance during these evenings where he is supported for the occasion by saxophonist Benjamin Herman (New Cool Collective).

After the concert, visitors can view the collections, create art, experience a VR experience, dance to the beats of Black Coffee and of course drink a drink. The Golden Hour is hosted by Stephanie Afrifa, known from DWDD. Are you 18 or older? Then you enter the guest list by registering via Nationalemuseumweek.nl/goldenhour. Millennials and museums
The Golden Hour is in line with the wishes of millennials to see more special programs and parties in museums. Recent research * also shows that three-quarters of millennials sometimes visit a museum. Nearly 80% of this group prefers to do this together than to do it alone and preferably on weekends. A get together with friends in Enschede or Amsterdam seems to be the perfect cultural outing.

Golden Hour: part of the National Museum Week
The Golden Hour is part of the fourth edition of the National Museum Week, which takes place this year from 9 to 15 April. During this week more than 400 museums present their collections in an unprecedented manner and often with extra attractive activities. The purpose of the National Museum Week is to reach groups who rarely or never visit museums. More information and all activities can be found at Nationalemuseumweek.nl.
