Ray-Ban’s 75th Birthday

In celebration of the brand’s 75th birthday, Ray-Ban is launching a new capsule collection of aviators named the Ambermatic collection which draws it’s inspiration from their 1930s militant roots. The collection includes four gold-rimmed aviator styles with light-sensitive photochromic yellow lenses. These lenses darken depending on light and temperature conditions. The Ray-Ban company was enlisted by the military in 1937 to design sunglasses for its pilots. The Ambermatic collection will channel the 1937 militant frames with vintage-inspired photochromic lens, which changes from light to dark.
