Many people may think that fashion and food are an unlikely match, but I’ve seen a recent spike in beautiful, well-produced blogs and websites that cover both. Here are five that I’m loving.
The Spicy Stiletto: New York-based Serena Goh gives you the perfect mix of style and recipes in her seriously cool site. Think what to pack when heading out to the beach for the weekend and delish solutions for what to make if it’s too hot to actually cook.
The New Potato: Founded by sisters Danielle and Laura Kosann, the fashionable site profiles the dining and food experiences of everyone from Adam Richman of Travel Channel’s Man Vs. Food and Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell to Danielle and Jodie Snyder, designers of the jewelry line Dannijo, and their comrade in style, Leandra Medine of the The Man Repeller. The access the duo has is unparalleled.
Maison des Reveries: Created in 2009, Gennie Yi started Maison des Reveries as a way to document life in New York City and share the fashion-related DIY projects she was working on at the time. Now it’s morphed into a glimpse into her amazing high-end taste (in the best way possible!). We’re talking Chanel and Celine bags, Upper East Side art gallery visits, and scrumptious meals at Locanda Verde.
Honestly Yum: Brought to you by the geniuses behind DIY fashion hub Honestly…WTF, Honestly Yum calls itself a “new destination dedicated to the visual exploration of taste.” While the site features mouthwatering food recipes and photos to match, I’m particularly fond of their cocktail recipes.
Milk and Mode: In addition to running her own business, former magazine editor Carol Han, writes Milk and Mode, a site that features a mix of personal style, quirky shopping roundups and detailed recipes for healthy meals such as a mushroom and quinoa salad or zucchini pizzettes.
